After obtaining a PhD in Economics at University of Bologna (Italy) I spent 1 year working for the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change on topics related to water availability and security in the Mediterranean region. In 2011 I moved to the Joint Research Center – European Commission at the Institute of Prospective Technological Studies in Seville (Spain). The focus of my work was mainly related to provide scientific policy support for DG TRADE, DG ENVRONMENT, DG CLIMA and DG ENTERPRISE. The main area of activities related to international trade, macroeconomic policies, economic modelling and input-output analysis. In September 2013 I joined the Business School of the Liverpool Hope University where I am working as a lecturer in Macroeconomics. I am also involved in research activities and coordination for the Socio-Economic Research Center at Hope (SERCH) that aims to monitor and analyse the impacts generated by economic trends and policies on peoples, communities and businesses. My research interest includes topics related to well-being, social-capital, macroeconomic policies and sustainability.
