I am from Denmark, and I study a masters in Sustainable Development in Uppsala, Sweden.

After having moved to Sweden, my attention came to the concept of degrowth, a concept that shows much promise, in dealing with the problems (and solutions) that the previous generations have created for us to solve.

I find however that the concept of degrowth currently lacks awareness of how the human mind has been viewed by many generations of spiritually minded people, that would have criticized our current system just like we do now, and thats where I see myself contributing to the debate.

Maybe there is knowledge to be found in the spiritual traditions, and if we are to think of new ways of constructing economies with concepts such as Universal Basic Income, an understanding of the universal human tendencies might be helpful.
