Version 3.2_September 2016
Speaker: Sarah Niklas

Sarah is interested in inter-and trans-disciplinary research in the area of renewable energy policy and political economy. In her PhD Sarah examines the policy differences in renewable energy policy in Germany and Australia. She investigates how the economy can adapt to renewable energy technologies. She uses regulation theory, a political economy approach, to understand the economic, political and social relationships which led to the recent energy transition in Germany. Further Sarah explores how these findings can be applied in the Australian context.
