Showing some excerpts from my video film Delhi : After Twenty Years the presentation will try to raise some fundamental questions about what is accepted as normal daily life in India. The broad consensus around production of well-educated urban middle class as solution to the ills of social and economic crises in India will be questioned in the documentary report.

What can be the root cause and future of growing stress and loneliness in the life of urban middle class of India ? What is the cause behind the increasing lack of disposable time in their normal daily life ? Is the lack of disposable time or expanding working time causing increasing (a) health problems ( e.g. hypertension, burnouts, coronary diseases etc.); (b) interpersonal and relationship crises; (c) community health problems; and (d) near non-availability of time for friends, nature, month-long community festivals, funeral rites and condolences ? (e) Is there any interlinkage between our mental health crises ( e.g. depression and similar disorders ) and the wanton destruction of nature ? My main thesis will be that a life with time prosperity for everyone should be one of the necessary preconditions towards any way out for us.
