Bálint Balázs, senior research fellow of Environmental Social Science Research Group, lecturer of environmental sociology at the Institute of Nature Conservation and Landscape Management, St. István University, Hungary.
Bálint Balázs has an MA in history (Central European University) and sociology (Eötvös Loránd University), and is a PhD candidate in environmental sciences. He is the managing director of the Environmental Social Science Research Group (ESSRG Ltd). He teaches environmental sociology at the Institute of Nature Conservation and Landscape Management, St. István University, Gödöllő, Hungary. He has international research experience in EU-projects on the field of human-nature interactions, sustainable agri-food systems and policy analysis, as well as science-society, science-policy dialogues, transdisciplinary and cooperative research, participatory action research. He is a board member of the Environment & Society Research Network of the European Sociological Association. He is country contact person for “Living Knowledge”, the International Network of Science Shops. He is on the global Steering Committee for the Equity & Sustainability Field Hearings, a project of Initiative for Equality (IfE).
