I am a phD student at the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience at Coventry University. My research topics are on food sovereignty and grassroots movements for transformation of food systems, looking specifically at economic democracy, political autonomy and movement building in Greece. My masters at the School of Oriental and African Studies focussed on the resistance to genetically modified corn in Oaxaca, Mexico. For my current research I am using participatory methods including PAR and participatory video. In previous years, I have been involved in organising the Ecotopia Biketour which is a collective practising low impact living and knowledge sharing in Europe. I am also involved with the Reclaim the Fields network, which aims to retain land and seed sovereignty through land occupations and collective land management and small scale food production.
